The Henan Province Construction Technology Association conducted a research and exchange visit to the Aluminum Profile, Doors and Windows, and Curtain Wall Professional Committee.

On March 7th, Zhang Liping, the president of the Henan Province Construction Technology Association, Zhou Tonghe, the vice president and secretary-general, Li Jianmin, and Zhao Zongxing, the deputy secretary-general, among five people, went to the Aluminum Profile, Doors and Windows, and Curtain Wall Professional Committee of the Henan Province Construction Technology Association for research and exchange. The director of the professional committee, Song Junsheng, and some of the committee's member unit leaders participated in the research activity together.

The Aluminum Profile, Doors and Windows, and Curtain Wall Professional Committee of the Henan Province Construction Technology Association (hereinafter referred to as the "Professional Committee") was established in October 2023. Through activities such as technical exchanges, standard formulation, and talent cultivation, the Professional Committee has built an integrated platform for industry-university-research-application, integrated and integrated upstream and downstream resources of aluminum profile, doors and windows, and curtain walls, promoting the innovative application of aluminum profile, doors and windows, and curtain wall technologies and the healthy development of related industries. This research visit aims to deepen the collaboration and coordination between the association and the Professional Committee, and accurately grasp the development demands of enterprises.

The research team visited several enterprises including Henan Tianguan Aluminum Industry Co., Ltd., Henan Xichang Aluminum Industry Co., Ltd., Henan Youyang Doors and Windows Co., Ltd., Henan Yuguang Special Glass Co., Ltd., and Kaifeng Shihe Profile Industry Development Co., Ltd., to conduct on-site inspections of production workshops and product exhibition halls, and to understand in detail the production processes, product characteristics, capacity utilization, and market sales situations.

At the symposium, Zhou Tong and the secretary-general expressed their gratitude for the warm reception by the special committee. They emphasized that the association would adopt a regular research mechanism of "asking for the needs of enterprises and seeking suggestions from enterprises" to precisely meet the core demands of enterprises such as technological research and standard formulation. The director of the special committee, Song Junsheng, welcomed the research team and introduced the current development status of the aluminum profile cluster in Qi County. The industrial park covers an area of over 6,000 acres, with 180,000 square meters of standardized workshops. There are over 30 aluminum profile industry enterprises in the park. The park has formed a complete industrial chain from profile extrusion, surface treatment to door and window assembly, with an annual processing capacity of 700,000 tons and an output value exceeding 18 billion yuan. It has become one of the four major aluminum profile industrial bases in the country and one of the important pillar industries in the region. 

In response to the pain points in the industry development, the representatives of the enterprises collectively expressed that there are technical barriers in the innovation of raw materials. The key points of the enterprises' technological innovation lie in upgrading the existing production processes and enhancing the performance indicators of the products. They also hope that classification standards for windows and doors can be formulated, and that consumers can be educated on the performance indicators of windows and doors, so that when people make purchases, they not only focus on the price but also pay more attention to the product performance.

Secretary-General Li Jianmin provided excellent suggestions on how to enable consumers to understand the differences in performance indicators of doors and windows, as well as the resulting differences in their functions. Secretary-General Zhao Zongxing, based on his personal experience and from the perspective of customers, using the confusion they encounter when choosing doors and windows as an example, suggested that enterprises should do a good job in simplifying and introducing the comprehensive performance of system doors and windows, allowing consumers to intuitively perceive the different product features and converting professional parameters into the basis for consumption decisions.

Secretary-General Zhou Tonghe provided professional guidance on standard construction, emphasizing the importance of "flexible comprehensive indicator setting" and "product identification management mechanism", encouraging enterprises to seize the opportunity and quickly formulate standards for aluminum-profile home products, leading the industry's development.

President Zhang Liping finally proposed "three orientations": advocating technological innovation to avoid homogeneous competition, breaking through price spiral through brand building, and leading the industry's ecology through standards. The association will build a technology sharing platform, focusing on supporting enterprises to participate in the formulation of industry standards and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, helping enterprises build the Henan door and window brand, and jointly promoting the high-quality development of the industry.
